Meadowsweet is owned and run by proprietors Elma and Antonio Rivera – trailblazers in the field of organic farming. Antonio certified as South Africa’s very first certified organic herb farmer in the Drakensberg.

Elma is fully involved in the development of the current range. Elma has dedicated eight years of research into the pure essentials range, perfecting its formulations to their current paraben free natural luxurious quality.

With a company ethos centered on Truth, Beauty and Goodness, Meadowsweet’s products have been tried and tested and sold successfully for the last 8 years through the Meadowsweet Health & Organic shops. These shops are situated in the Drakensberg and Gansbaai. A third shop, now called Meadowlands, still carries the Meadowsweet ethos and is situated in Clarens in the Eastern Free State.

All products are currently manufactured and packaged on a farm in the Drakensberg, but production is to move to Johannesburg within the next couple of months. Although a small farm and factory, Meadowsweet generates much employment for the people who live in the vicinity of the farm. We consider our Meadowsweet employees to be an integral part of the farm family. With the factory moving to Johannesburg, the current employees will still be making some of the products like the soaps and Baby Pillows, ensuring their well being and prosperity.

It is part of the ethos of Meadowsweet to improve the quality of life of all people who come into contact with it, whether they be the farm workers, owners, managers or those of you who benefit from using the final products.

Meadowsweet comprises three product ranges including Pure Essential Range, Oils Range and Gift Range.
