Elma is fully involved in the development of the current range. Elma has dedicated eight years of research into the pure essentials range, perfecting its formulations to their current paraben free natural luxurious quality. With a company ethos centered on Truth, Beauty and Goodness, Meadowsweet’s products have been tried and tested and sold successfully for the last 8 years through the Meadowsweet Health & Organic shops. These shops are situated in the Drakensberg and Gansbaai. A third shop, now called Meadowlands, still carries the Meadowsweet ethos and is situated in Clarens in the Eastern Free State. All products are currently manufactured and packaged on the rocky shores of Gansbaai, near Hermanus in the Western Cape. Although a small factory, Meadowsweet generates as much employment possible for the people who live in the vicinity of Gansbaai. We consider our Meadowsweet employees to be an integral part of the family.Our aspirations for the new factory include the installation of wind turbines by the end of the year to generate our own electricity. Flow forms will also be installed to energise the water going into our products. |

Meadowsweet is owned and run by proprietors Elma and Antonio Rivera – trailblazers in the field of organic farming. Antonio certified as South Africa’s very first certified organic herb farmer in the Drakensberg.
